Behind Bars!

Sometimes, like at night, and also when my foster parents are at work, I hang out in this indoor pen. I like, best of all, to be out and about, and not penned up, but I have to say that this is pretty nice for a pen.  You can see that I have some toys and a bed.  And my foster mom put some blankets down, and then put a rug on top, so it is nice and soft.  And you can also see that I have on the dreaded cone! My stitches from my enucleation come out on Tuesday! I can't wait! But I have been a very, very, very good boy about wearing the cone.  In fact, I am a very, very, very good boy about everything!

Playtime!

You will notice that these pictures were taken before I had my left eye removed. I love toys!  And I love to roll around when I don't have toys - and I can even chew on my foot, as you can see! And now, even though I have to wear the cone until my stitches come out, I can still play with toys.  I love to play!  And I also enjoy relaxing.  And going for short walks.  And eating.  And getting attention.  In fact, I enjoy most everything!  I am a well-rounded dog with diverse interests, which makes me compatible with just about everyone out there!  And I am waiting, waiting, waiting to go to my just-right forever home. Till then, time to play!

My Left Eye is Gone!

Remember how I told you that I was going to get my eye out?  Well, it happened.  And I might look sad in this picture but I am not!  I am doing just fine, and I am glad that my eye is gone because it was too big and it hurt.

So now I have to wear this cone so that I don't accidentally (or on purpose) scratch, and then pull my stitches out.

16 more days til the stitches come out. Not that I am counting....

Hey! I am Ike!

I arrived in my Virginia foster home just a few weeks ago.  You can see that I am a most handsome little dog, and I am about to look even more distinguished because my left eye is going to be removed this week.  It is too big and has been causing me some trouble.  The great thing is that I will still be just as handsome - and maybe even more so (if that is possible!).

I am enjoying my foster home but really would like a forever home!  So think about adopting me. I have lots of love to give!
